Ever transitioning and wandering the world, this new ‘blog-venture’ is for armchair travel instead. The aim is to express reflections on all sorts of topics including learning to ‘be’ a writer and hopefully enjoy it.  For the first time in my life I am planning to stay put for a while in my own home turf.  My travels past are fodder for reflections and travels present, more spiritual in nature, will also influence what is written.  What will become of this I haven’t a clue, but as Helen Keller said, “Life is either a daring adventure or nothing at all.”

    Well done you! for someone who has traveled much I am so glad that you are having a chance to put down roots again, whilst continuing the journey from your armchair. So a wee quote from Mark Nepo “to journey without being changed is to be a nomad. To change without journeying is to be a chameleon. To journey and be transformed by the journey is to be a pilgrim”

    Interesting concept. I have never traveled myself but am always interested in people’s opinions of where they have been and what they have seen. Most especially, in their reflections of the people who inhabit the countries they have lived in. My parents traveled the world and they liked the Spanish people the best, saying that if you asked directions,they would go out of their way to take you to the place you wanted to go and generally treated outsiders well.

    Hey Roxanne, I am a folk art lover so Oaxaca was fascinating for me. Your pictures and criteria created a desire to go there. That’s what good writing can do. Two of my favorite cities are Minneapolis, MN and Florence, Italy. OK, Jerusalem was pretty fascinating as too! J
